Sapphire Press was founded by Michael Prolman in 1992 as a book publishing company. In February of 1994, Michael shifted Sapphire Press entirely to Web publishing. Later that year, the company published "UNCAT: The Catalog of UNCATaloged Titles," selected by National Public Radio as one of its favorite Web sites.
In 1995, Sapphire Press published another site called the BluFire Model Registry. BluFire was rated by “Elle” magazine as one of the top fashion Web sites three years in a row. BluFire also is recommended by FashionTelevision (on VH-1 in the U.S.).
In 1999, Sapphire Press launched LifeWisdom.com, which catalogs the wisdom of people. The site’s architect is the company founder. For more information about Michael, visit his author biography page.
